To book your holiday first check our availability page then print off a paper copy of this page, fill it out by hand, enclose a cheque for £100 (made payable to “Nikki Froud”) as a deposit and post it to:

Once we receive your booking form, we will then write back to you confirming your booking and required dates. If you want to provisionally book a particular week prior to posting your booking form simply call us on 01202 253563 evenings and weekends or email sunny.cottage@btconnect.com

Sunny Cottage General Information and Booking Conditions

 

1. Bookings are accepted on the condition that good care is taken of the property and its contents, and that the cottage is kept clean and tidy, as you would wish to find it.  We have a strict No Smoking policy for the comfort of all our guests.

 

2. Arrival /departure time – Sunny Cottage is available from 3.00 pm on your arrival day until 10 am on the day of your departure unless special alternative arrangements have been made.

 

3. Bookings will be accepted on receipt of a completed Booking Enquiry Form and a cheque for the deposit (£100). The balance of the remaining rental fee and refundable damage deposit (£100) is payable 8 weeks before arrival.  Unfortunately the deposit is not refundable in the event of cancellation by the visitor.

 

Where bookings are made less than 8 weeks before arrival, the full rental and refundable damage deposit are payable on booking.

For late bookings the full rental amount must be paid in cash (not cheque) on arrival. We are unable to take bookings from any person under the age of 18. Bookings made by persons under the age of 25 may require an additional damage bond, please contact us for more information. We reserve the right to cancel bookings, in these circumstances all monies will be returned to you. A receipt will be sent for all monies received.

 

4. Damage Deposit - We require a £100 refundable deposit to cover any breakages, loss, damages, and excess cleaning charges we may incur. This will be refunded by post shortly after your departure when the cottage has been fully checked.  Any breakages damages or loss found to be in excess of the deposit fee shall be invoiced to the visitor which must be paid within 7 days.  Failure to do so may result in legal proceedings.

 

5. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.

Cancellations of confirmed bookings shall incur the loss of the deposit.

Cancellations received within 8 weeks of the tenancy will incur the full rental charge, we will endeavour to re-let the property and if we are able to do so, a 50% refund of the full rental fee plus the damage deposit will be returned to you.

 

We strongly advise you take out your own Holiday Cancellation Insurance to cover this eventuality. 

 

6. Occupancy – The property is intended for use by families and couples only. Groups of persons below the age of 25 may be refused or require an additional damage bond.

 

7. Car Parking – There is an allocated car space at the front of the property.

7. Heating, hot water, Gas and Electric are included within the rental fee.

 

8. Bed linen, bath, hand and tea towels are provided free of charge – Beds are made up on your arrival. Linen will be changed weekly for bookings more than one week.

 

9. Guests undertake to be responsible for the security and safety of the cottage during the let and be familiar with procedures in the event of fire. All windows and doors must be locked and secured when guests are away from the cottage.  Luggage is left at the owner’s risk at all times, as is any car and its contents.

 

10. Cleanliness – The accommodation is made available for letting on the understanding that it is left clean and tidy as it was found on arrival.  The visitor must also ensure that all surplus food and drink are disposed of and that all waste is put in the appropriate bins provided, (news papers, glass etc should go in to the blue recycle bin.)  The bins are collected weekly (day will be advised) and we ask that the visitor kindly puts the bins out the front ready for collection the night before.

 

11. For safety and insurance reasons, the number of people using the accommodation shall not exceed those shown on the booking form.

Visitors are strongly advised to arrange their own insurance cover against personal loss.  The use of the accommodation is at the visitors own risk and no liability shall be accepted by the owner.

 

12. If for any reason beyond our control, the property is not available (for instance through fire damage) on the date booked, we will refund all monies paid in full, but there shall be no further claim against the owners.

 

13. Keys shall be forwarded to the visitor in good time prior to the tenancy. Keys can be posted back though the property letter box on departure or returned though the post. Loss of keys shall incur a charge of 50% of the damages deposit.
